I'm Kate Taylor, founder of Gingerbread's Kitchen. We specialise in cakes, bakes, savoury treats and ready meals all lovingly handmade in either our kitchen dedicated to baking and cooking high quality NON-GLUTEN containing products or regular bakes using wheat flour in our domestic kitchen.
As a keen home cook, after redundancy, I decided on a change of direction and enrolled on a catering course at college. After six months I was hooked and three years later I am working towards a Patisserie and Confectionary qualification.
Deciding to turn my hobby into a business led me to create Gingerbread's Kitchen. My own journey with food intolerances and that of my niece who was diagnosed Coeliac at the age of two, became my inspiration to open a dedicated kitchen, producing high quality products using only non-gluten containing ingredients.
A recent addition to our service is that we can also offer all of our bakes made with regular wheat flour in our separate domestic kitchen. Both kitchens are kept completely separate and our dedicated kitchen for producing non-gluten containing items will never be compromised. Both of our kitchen's have been assessed by the Local Authority and we are proud to have a 5 food hygiene rating.
In case you was wondering about the name! Gingerbread's Kitchen is named after our mischievous bunny who is also the face of the business!!
